Prepping for the Baby Shower..the weekend of Oct 1st-3rd

Chase and I spent all weekend preparing for the shower! We were trying to get all kinds of stuff done around the house since the shower was at our house. We had to finish getting Channing's room ready which meant putting the crib together, hanging the tv, putting his changing table together. On Friday night we had to move all the furniture from the 3 bedrooms to the living room because on Saturday we got new carpet. Chase and I had to sleep in our bed in the living room, that was a little weird. We then had to prep all the floors in those rooms for the new carpet. Jimmy stayed over until like 4 in the morning to help us finish Channing's bathroom countertop.

It looks amazing! Chris was also amazing and stayed over to help us finish up stuff in Channing's room. On Saturday I had to wait for the carpet people to arrive and install the carpet. Once the carpet was installed I started to put things back in the rooms where they belonged while Chase did his church work. Chris came over to install our new kitchen lights, which look amazing! After Chase and I got all the rooms put back together we got cleaned up and headed out. We needed to go to Dallas to pick up our new washer and dryer, go to Ikea for shelves for Channings room, and to the Coach outlet so I could get my amazing diaper bag! We took Kayden along for the ride because we had been promising that when we put Channing's crib together she could help. We did not get home until like 11:30 but we had so much to do still we could not sleep. Chase and I got started on putting Channing's crib together while Kayden decided she would rather play with the box to the crib. She was having so much fun with that box that she made herself a bed and fell asleep in it.

After the crib was put together we decided to get some sleep. On Sunday we got up really early to finish cleaning the house and get ready and then we still had to put the changing table together. We did not finish with everything until the guests started to arrive. It was one crazy weekend for sure, but the carpet, Channing's room, Channing's bathroom, and the rest of the house look amazing! Thanks for all your help Jimmy, Chris and Kayden!!
